On a porch, at Lake Michigan, I captured Tanner (figure top and center) playing the ring toss game we gave him and his brother during our recent vacation (Aug, 2015). This paintig also depicts my appreciation for Winslow Homer and Fairfild Porter. Both would do a marvelous rendition of this painting. I painted it from life and in the moment, from the front porch of our adjecent cottage. Tanner was present for this moment intermittently and only briefly.
