Waiting for the Miracle to Come

Notions of human identity, consciousness, sexuality, and crisis are at the core of my work. A painting like Jerome in the Wilderness deals with dark psychological consumption, an attempt to deal with the primary self. Campaign is a diptych that deals with the political and cultural paradigm shift that is occurring throughout the world. On another level, it depicts the liberation of the sexual and creative self. Often the relationship between man and woman is at play in my work. American Dream is both a take on the “artist and model” but also tells the story of a complicated marriage.
