My mother reclaimed this ranch house in Connecticut and over a decade finished an exquisite home. This is a view of the back end of the house, including her patio furniture, the grill off to he right and our canoe, which we don’t use, but is kept there because it adds a nice splash of color. One of the reasons I learned to paint was to be able to do exactly this; work from life, from the moment, capturing the mood and beauty of life.
